Wells Cathedral

One of my favourite views of the Cathedral from the Bishop’s Palace gardens, which we strolled round this morning before stopping for coffee and cake at the cafe.

The gardens are home to public allotments and we stopped to chat to one of the holders, who we know vaguely as she used to teach Kate A-Level Geography 20 years ago. She had a glut of beans and insisted we came away with a bag full.

We stopped on the way back to water our friends’ garden.

This afternoon we have watched a fair bit of the first day of the Commonwealth Games. Chris joined us for a while after work
