Snake's Head

Fritillaria Meleagris. Another sign that spring is well and truly here. The borders are really starting to fill out now - it's so good to see. The Snake's Heads were in the garden when we moved to the cottage just over 21 years ago. At first I thought they were rather sinister looking - but I've come to love them and indeed look out for them. Tried to capture them today when the sun was on them but it's in and out from the clouds every minute or so - and I just don't have the energy today to sit and wait for the best moment. So I may well blip them again.
