An afternoon voyage

Strange as it is, I was never on the Waverley before today, though I have seen it passsing through the Kyles of Bute  and along the Clyde often enough.

Some weeks ago Cathleen and I decided that as this was the vessel’’s 75th year we really needed to rectify our omission so we booked for an afternoon cruise from Dunoon to Tighnabruaich and back, via (of course) those Kyles.

We had a great time and whilst I will load up some more pictures on my Flickr site soon, in the  meantime here is the last sea going passenger paddle steamer in the world,  moored at Tighnabruaich to let those that want to, go ashore.

(Extra pictures of the trip now on my Flickr site - quite a few of them ! )
