This afternoon a trip to the Stardome Planetarium for a Film Festival film, Path 99.

Path 99 features footage, with a soundtrack and some narration, from the Landsat 8 satellite that passes directly down the centre of Australia. We lie back and watch time-lapse photos of cloud systems, storm fronts, downpours and droughts, filmed from 700km in space.

I took this photo in the foyer while waiting to be let in to see the film.

I don't know these people. But I like taking photos of people taking photos.

We saw our first Festival film on Friday — this coming week, we're seeing a film a day, most days. We usually see more (up to three films a day over 2-3 weeks). But this year's festival is a tentative restart with fewer films, after two years when the festival was online only (you can guess why).
