Blooming

The rose sawflies didn't stop the blooming, though there are several leaves that have been stripped by the larvae. Nearby, I spied a spider helping out (rose sawflies must be tasty) – see extra.

Between bouts of work, I tidied up the garden a little and finally put the guinea pig cage on freecycle. One ginger cat is enough for me and I didn't manage to convert the cage into a successful plant protector (it worked a bit to protect them from squirrels, but I've found something else in my spare bits and pieces that may work better).
