Boardwalk

We got up at dawn and drove to the New Jersey Shore to visit amusement parks and the beach. The first park we visited, Playland's Castaway Cove, opened at 3 p.m. We got there at noon not knowing that, so we explored the boardwalk and got lunch. That park's star attraction, Gale Force (in extras), was closed. How unfortunate.

Later we drove south to Wildwood and visited Morey's Piers. We rode several roller coasters at the piers there. That was great. I've now ridden 343 different roller coasters, but the best is that Jill rode her 300th! That was Great White, an excellent wooden coaster and the best on the trip.

We'd like to go back. Next time I want to get a hotel because being awake for 24 hours is no fun. The long drive prevented us from doing everything we wanted to do. The good thing is it's not too far away.

Also in extras is fudge in a shop. There was so much junk food all over the place! I behaved and only bought one small slice of fudge.
