A Grand Day Out

Covid over, the opportunity presented itself to get away for the day. And a very good day it turned out to be.

For my own record:
A tram ride into town
A footwear consultation at Tiso's
A stroll along Rose then George then Queen St (I found town depressing with its shuttered shops and pre-festival chaos)
A brief visit to the Portrait Gallery where I found the shop has gone till autumn but the photography gallery had some interesting images
Another stroll via Scotland St to Canonmills
Brunch with younger lad
Third stroll of the day, along the WoL to the Botanics
A successful visit to the shop
Over to watch the Pétanque charity mêleé for a bit
A seat in the sun with younger lad and his flatmate with the daft dog she is minding
Back through the Botanics to the bus then tram then home where sister, niece and great-niece were still there to chat to.
