Dipping Into The Unknown

I suppose, like any activity that is not familiar to me, the idea of spending hours dropping a hook and line into the depths beneath in the often vain hope of catching a fish, only to return it, seems a futile experience.

Contrast that with spending long hours pointing a lens at things in the hope of capturing an amazing shot, only to find it disappears into the billions of other more amazing shots already taken. Mmm...

I tell myself it's the experience that counts.
