Peacock butterfly on the buddleia

I saw a couple of butterflies and briefly chased them around the garden with my camera. They flitted from flower to flower but not on the buddleia.

I waited and enjoyed just looking at the garden vegetation seeing insects and bees. Then this peacock suddenly flew over the hedge from next door's garden. It alighted here with the top of its wings in shadow, but I knew this was probably the only chance I had to record it today. I'm glad i did. Seconds later and it had flown away straight up our garden and over the house.
