Spain, Day 4, Morillo de Tou

We wanted to do something smaller today so I found a walk by the Embalse de Mediano at the small village of Morillo de Tou. The village itself is quite interesting as it was at one point abandoned due to the reservoir being built and the valley flooded. Eventually it was rebuilt and now is a holiday resort with some beautiful old buildings and wooden cabins and the like.

There is also a panoramic of the reservoir as an extra.
Anyway after abandoning our first walk due to some super slippery gravel next to a ravine in the afternoon we headed up to the remains of an old tower which gave us some cracking views over the reservoir and of course good old Peña Montañesa.

Lots of wildlife about as ever with many different varieties of butterfly and moth.

I also added a big old panorama of the reservoir as an extra.
