Inch House

One of my fellow students on the nature walks programme at Inch House and I had a lengthy but fascinating tour of Inch House today. It's an amazing building and here is a link to the Wikipedia entry. It consists of a 17th century tower house with later additions in the 17th and 19th centuries. This view is taken from the roof of one of the late19th century additions and looks out to another late 19th century addition. There are extras of two stone panels which came from other buildings and were incorporated into the wall of the original 17th century house. There is also an extra of an original window in the oldest part of the building - most of the other windows were enlarged when the house was remodelled.
