Wet cobbles

The famous Bruges cobbles were glistening in the rain and it was cold again. What had happened to the glorious spring weather?

Normous and I visited the Chocolate Museum and browsed the souvenir
shops while Susan and Jurgen visited a gallery. We met up for lunch in one of the cafes on the Markt Square and watched people hurrying by, wrapped up against the weather. The horses that pull the tourists around the town had their mackintosh coats on and the cafe tables that weren't under cover were deserted.

We went back to the Beethoven for our last evening meal and were enchanted by their new waiter, the son of the owner, aged about ten, all dressed in his waiter's long apron and being very attentive to the diners.
