Second-time-around

Big Sky

After endless days of bleak grey skies, drizzle and humid weather, today finally improved with this wonderful sky.

The humidity has gone and it’s cooler, but it’s still too dry. The drizzle didn’t fill my rainwater barrels at all!

Money politics - I just don’t understand this: those rich people at the Bank of England tell us that raising interest rates will curb inflation by causing people to spend less. But people are having to spend MORE on petrol and food etc. so they will have to spend less on ‘extras’ like holidays. How does raising the interest rate so people with mortgages have even LESS money to pay higher bills curb inflation?
