Herons in Regent's Park

Lovely sunny day in London so headed off to Regent's Park at lunchtime. The park was full of workers enjoying their lunches in the sunshine. Really funny to see how crowded the first bits of grass were - people had crashed out on the first green space available.

Found one of the lakes and saw 12 herons standing incongruously against the backdrop of London's landmarks. They were very tame. Saw some long-tailed tits flitting around in the trees too.

Great to escape into some warm sunshine.
