Caterpillars

I watched a small white butterfly deposit this single egg on to the underside of a nasturtium leaf- pictured left. The egg is 10x zoomed and barely noticeable at normal resolution.  The right hand picture shows a large white caterpillar doing well. It is about 2cm long. Some of the leaves are eaten to skeletons and the caterpillars have moved to other leaves. It is fascinating to watch. As you have probably guessed I am very easily amused.
