and the week is done!

Ukraine said it hit more than 10 enemy control points this week using HIMARS and MLRS (like HIMARS, provided by other countries). What is an enemy control point? I found a lot of different definitions, which is annoying. I think it means this one: a point at which a potential hazard can be controlled. They hit about 15 warehouses and logistics bases, ammunition, and fuel, and radar reconnaissance and electronic warfare stations.

Ukraine's Air Force carried out 38 strikes this week against weapons, military equipment, and troops. They tweeted a graphic listing Russian losses and said, 'With a little help from my friends' John Lennon & Paul McCartney.

Ukraine destroyed its forth Russian supply chain. <inserted later: TRAIN, SUPPLY TRAIN, which messes up the SUPPLY CHAIN> This messes up Russia's ability to supply its southern front-line, which hopefully helps Ukraine take back Kherson.

Russia had hoped to bypass sanctions by creating alternate payment systems through Chinese banks. Chinese banks have balked at taking on that role because of the risk of secondary sanctions.

Given what we keep hearing, it is really hard not to be angry at Russians in general. But

- According to human rights groups, more than 16,400 Russians have staged antiwar demonstrations.
- The Kremlin recently commissioned a survey about the war to the state-run Russian Public Opinion Research Center. The question was phrased carefully:  respondents were asked to select their “preferred option” between continuing the war and starting peace talks with Ukraine. The results were leaked.  The options of continuing the war and of starting peace talks received 44 percent each.

The Biden administration's next security assistance package is expected to be $1 billion, the largest to date, and include munitions for long-range weapons and armored medical transport vehicles.
