Killing Time

Jen and I did some more unpacking this morning and managed to clear a few more boxes before heading out to the bus back to the old house to meet the cleaning team.  It was on the rental lease that they had to have it professionally cleaned but I reckon we could have done it easily between us.  Nevertheless, it meant that we had several hours to use whilst they were at work so we enjoyed a very tasty lunch at the local Deli and then took a walk around Chatelherault and along the Avon Water with dappled sunshine along the way.  As we emerged from the woodland Jenny's phone rang and Ivan said they would be finished in ten minutes so we picked up the pace and headed back.    A quick inspection showed the team had done an excellent job and we were able to return to Lesmahagow and pack our stuff in the car for the journey back here.

There is some sadness at leaving the Ferniegair house but it was time to get out of rental and the new home is shaping up nicely in a quiet close with good neighbours.
