Amazing flower

The Acanthus is flowering well this year, first time for quite a while. I'd never realised just how intricate the flowers are until I took a close look today.
It's been grey and cool today, with some showers earlier so I've only been in the garden briefly to get some things for tea. I did do out this morning to parkrun, a last minute decision and a better run than I expected, and did a bit of shopping on the way home.
I did get some sewing and knitting done, watched some exciting athletics and did a bit of church admin so haven't been idle.
