Apples!

They were ripe so I picked them. I was motivated this morning when I saw a squirrel run across my patio with a giant apple in its mouth. I'm surprised he didn't tip over; the apple was bigger than his head. 
I inherited this tree when I moved in here, so I have no idea what kind of apples they are, but they are good for both eating and baking. On the tart side but very tasty.
Anyway, it's done for the year, and now I just have to give some away and make applesauce and pies with the rest. They keep really well in the fridge, thank goodness.
