have the foggiest

such a tricky proposition photographing in foggy conditions. I won't know till I start editing if it will be flat and boring, or if there's any gold in those smokey grey rectangles. Strangled metaphores aside, mostly it will be the former. The camera doesn't like those flat areas of tone and goes searching for something to grab onto.

Not unsurprisingly, the Sunday market was still and damp, although well attended. I predict that produce markets will start to be better patronised as the price of fresh food continues to rise. The stakes were raised today when one stall employed a young lad with a microphone to spruik their wares at a relentless pace and pitch; causing the nearby stallholders to join the fray with their cost and quality analysis. But without the means to project their voices, it was a one-sided affair.
