Despite having hardly been up it this year, the at-least-monthly visits in 2021 have paid off, with both children now competent enough to not need to be hovered nearby. Next will be getting them to keep an eye on other people in case they need assistance, like the person coming behind us who looked to have moved off the steps to the stream bed a couple of turns early and was sliding a bit. Despite their relatively young age it might also soon be time to teach them the term "arseholes" as a pejorative for people, given the many assembled at the summit and making sure everyone in earshot was aware how funny and loud they were.
