Monument to fire-fighters

An old one, from a few decades after they saved San Francisco during the post-earthquake fire in 1906. And the volunteers commemorated in this statue are even older, from 19th-century SF.

Lillie Hitchcock Coit, who left the money for this statue, adored firemen. Her Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill is shaped like the nozzle of a fire hose.
