A Southern Hawker …. I think

I don’t recall ever spotting a dragonfly before so this was a very  special moment. The female (?) stayed for ages, perched on the side of a pink water lily.

The weather today has been very dull and really quite misty. We decided to cross ‘The Bridge over the Atlantic’ and visit Seil Island.  What a wonderful island with many small habitations and very friendly locals.

The garden at An Cala was open as part of Scotland’s Open Garden Scheme. What a wonderful place with many different levels, hidden steps and even its own waterfall.  The grass was very wet and much of the foliage was dripping but there was just so. much to see that wet feet was a small price to pay!
