Keeping An Eye....

...out for the helicopter!

Yes indeed! We have known about it for months, and in the last few weeks, small stretches of roads have been resurfaced, bollards removed (yes, the lit ones with raised platforms to also help the partially sighted - all will be reinstated), and a park shut off for 2 weeks, in order for a cycle race, in this instance, for the Commonwealth Games, both mens and womens Cycle Races.

Its certainly been fascinating to see, and several main roads shut off for an entire day, with two helicopters (see extras) circling overhead, one a police helicopter, the other I believe to be the camera following the cyclists in the race.

Unfortunately for the one of the sponsors of the event, Severn Trent, a water main happened to burst flooding the dual carriageway by the town (Warwick), hence leading to it being shut for part of the day.
