Harvest well underway

A wonderful day for the harvest!  No moisture in the crop so the grain will not have to be dried, good quality and yields - and sunshine!  The downside to this glorious weather is that the cattle are now without grass so it is expensive to keep them fed.

Visited a tiny church this morning with a beautiful Norman arch and ancient wall paintings; the whole building was lit by candles.  Very special.

This afternoon E came for an ice cream and a cuppa in the garden then we went up to the corn barn to look at the trailer emptying the wheat grain and T combining.  A lot of dust!
