Looks Good To Me

Road Trip

With Hamish safely ensconced in the back seat of the Kona, we hied our way south to meet C’s son, W, and daughter, M. The forecast for very high temperatures was unfortunately quite accurate, so we sought the shade of the many trees on a walk through the beautiful University of Washington campus (first extra).

We were very glad to return M’s air-conditioned abode for a meal, family story-telling, and a photo session (extras).

Hamish was uncomfortable in the heat, but soldiered on without complaining, and behaved impeccably. He enjoyed his first trip on the light rail after I carried him on board. He slept most of the way home!

On the way home to Bellingham, we saw miles of stationary vehicles in the south-bound lanes of the freeway, due to a collision. We also saw a lot of reckless drivers passing us.
