Orford Ness

So excited today to finally be going to Orford Ness. We got up for a leisurely start and had breakfast at the corner cottage cafe, food was absolutely gorgeous. Had a lovely elderly couple share our table who lived in the village and were neighbours of the Ed Sheeran family. We drove over to orford ness about lunchtime to make sure we could get car parking down by the riverside and then we took the early ferry over to Orford Ness.

What an absolutely amazing place the skies were huge the Landscape deserted and post-apocalyptic the stone structures rose prominently on the horizon. The sun was beating down and it was hot and we probably walked for a good few hours around the site until we were the last to leave, taking the ferry back to the harbour. A fantastic day rounded off by a trip to the station public house for food very good recommendation
