(D) Sioux City - (E) Rapid City

There were still lots of corn fields but today we also saw wheat fields and fields of sunflowers.  There were some cattle ranches showing up today.  On blipper Shirlyray's recommendation we stopped at the Dignity Statue which is 50' tall.  We enjoyed the exhibit and visitors center.  We have heard so much about the "Wall Drug" store that we pulled in to take a look....we had been seeing a lot of motorcycles but had not clued in that the Sturgis SD motorcycle event was on.   The first two weeks of August the entire area is filled with bikers.  Wall was so busy, it was bikes from one end of town to the next.  We didn't stay long.  The event gets between 500,000 to 700,000 people.
