A Rambling Gothic Dormitory

is an ‘architectural rambling Gothic dormitory’ according to one guide book.  This is  a detail of St Salvator’s Hall which is bounded by The Scores to the North and The Younger Hall.

I would disagree with the words ‘rambling’ and ‘Gothic’.

Today’s Blipfoto shows the eastern entrance to the building. The thumbnail shows a rather curious dormer which is redolent of a judge’s wig. At least it is to me.

The dormitory bounds a rather pleasant courtyard replete with many fine trees including copper beeches. See extra.

With the departure of Alicia the pace of life is gradually returning to normal and work which remained undone is now being completed.
