Three Wise Owls

Went to a local garden centre which was having a special event and was intrigued by the owls especially their ability to turn their heads right round. Apparently they can turn their heads through 270 degrees and this is because their eyes are fixed in their sockets so they have to move their entire head.

I am grateful to the ten facts about owls website. Owls are birds of prey and will eat field mice and other small animals but are still held in high regard.
