My Clever Grandson

Today (Tuesday) was all about Cameron’s achievement in his Scottish Higher Exams.

His mum texted us to get him wakened at 9am so we went in his room and he was still asleep! We wakened him and he checked his e mails for the results (nothing). He ‘thought’ he had signed up for the e Mail notification but it turned out he hadn’t so it was coming in the post. His mum was away for the day so we didn’t get the results till 5!!

We went down the road past the beautiful Loch Maree to Loch Achilty (we basically followed the sun as it was blowing a hooly in our part of the world). The other side of the mountains was less windy and sunny, perfect for a paddleboard. It was beautiful at the lochside. There were a few families and couples quite a few on paddle boards and also swimmers. The Loch was pretty warm!

I even had a go and it was good to be back on. I had to give a ‘Hey you boys, stop throwing stones at the ducks’ in my loudest voice! Ben and Cameron were passing in their paddle boards at the time and Ben, when they came off the board gave me a high five and said he thought I was bursting into a Metallica song with the ‘HEY’!! Lol

We the. Drive into Strathpeffer for an ice cream and a coffee.

Then back home and it was one of these heart bursting and then tears moments when Cameron got his results from his mum.

Maths A
History A
Physics A
Chemistry A
Computer Science A

I was really bursting with pride and Ben and I did five air punches with a Hey! Of course Cameron just takes it in his stride without any fanfare.

We celebrated with a meal at the Inn down the road and Paps did another toast telling him that he doesn’t seem to realise how great a result this is . So I started another set of tears at that! Jeez!

We walked up the road and watched Ferris Bullers Day Off - classic.
