Project Pie Plate

So to combat the dastardly deer we parked all our garden carts in front of the fence. This was just to give everything a bit more weirdness so they wouldn't jump over the outside fence. Dan had scavenged a bunch of 2 x 2 wood and extended the fencing upwards. And, as it happens, he has a big box of pie tins that are about 18 years old but will come in handy some day.... (They were bought years ago with the intention of selling baked goods at the farmer's market). I took the pie tins and poked a hole in them and strung them up and they make quite the racket! If you want to hear the real thing you can look at this very brief FB video...
The chickens were not at all impressed. But last night no deer ventured into the garden! Today, I decided we don't need all the racket during the day and poked another hole in each plate and tied it to a clothes pin and attached the plate to a lower fence... Ah, blessed quiet.  This is the extra.
The wind is usually lower at night so it's not so loud and I will unclip the plates...  Deer beware!!!!!!
