Fiori di Zucca

When we returned from Italy mid-June, I was determined to get in a vegetable garden.  Too late in the season to grow from seed or even from six-packs, I had to go the expensive, 'head-start' route...with starter plants in 4 or 6 inch pots.  The zucchini pot had 3 seedling plants that I very carefully separated and planted... The buy 1, get 3 -- if you are careful and lucky.  Well,  all 3 zucchini are thriving! We eat zucchini everyday now.  I love the twisted cantaloupe colored petals as they slowly unwind to open up for the sunshine.
