A Scorcher

Popped along to Rydal Water to take some photos on the way to orienteering this morning. The extras are just some of the ones I took.

The heat and the effects of a week of orienteering took its toll today. I just had nothing left and decided to retire. The temperatures hit 30 degrees and I was mightily glad to get off the open fell.

This afternoon sat for a while watching the comings and goings on the bird feeder. Caught this Nuthatch in classic pose.

Home tomorrow stopping off on the way to see friends who used to live in York and were members of our orienteering club.

Thank you for following my journal this week
