Kippen

Kippen is a small village north of Glasgow.  It was pleasant to have a walk around today, there are some little lanes which take you back two centuries, and on a day like today it was quite magical.  We came across a wild flower meadow which had been planted by locals, and was hugely successful as it was attracting all sorts of insect life to it.  There are lovely views from the village towards Ben Lomond and Ben Ledi.  I did take pictures, but they were not good enough to blip.

I wanted to walk around the old churchyard, but unfortunately the graveyard has become unsafe and so they have locked the gates, although they hope with volunteer labour to rectify this in the future.

It was very hot, and we were glad of a stop for refreshments on the main street in a wee delicatessen, which had fabulous cakes!
