OMGWhatHaveWeGoneAndDone?

Meet Merry (left) and Pippin (er... right). Ms H's 3 month old kittens who arrived today as a graduation present. We picked them up mid afternoon and spent some time pondering over names, thinking of duos, and I am kicking myself because at one point I thought of these very characters in Lord Of the Rings, but couldn't remember their names, I remembered Sam... then Ms H came up with Bilbo and a few seconds later, Merry and Pippin, and nobody believed me.

It was not intentional, but Merry and Pippin were mentioned in Ms H's dissertation about LOTR, so clearly it was meant to be, it was her destiny.

So yes it is going to be a bit of a crazy house for a while, Arlo (dog) doesn'[t have a clue yet, Jess (cat) had a hiss through the door. They will get their vaccinations this week and again 3 weeks later, after which things might settle down a bit. After Ms H lost her 16 year old cat Molly a few months ago, she has been pining for kitty love for a while and having first had 2 kittens in 1992, then 2 in 2005, we couldn't not get 2 this time.

Right, fingers crossed, heads down, doors closed, let's do this! Gulp.
