Low cloud.

On the way to Keswick this morning and this is what today looks like at Bassenthwaite Lake.  After days of heat, temperatures today are more like normal and we await rain that has been forecast.  Not much fell yesterday other than those I told you about.  The cloud is down, but as I post this the wind has increased  and there hasn't been much sun.  Tomorrow's forecast is for heavy rain-we'll see.
The photo is of Dodd which is in front of Skiddaw although you wouldn't know it looking at this photo.  If the trees weren't green you could think this was a winter photo.
The extra from yesterday shows the tree, which has featured a few times before, but now the rapeseed has be harvested you can see the base of it.  The stubble remains, but in between, a crop has been planted and emerged.  I'm unsure what the crop is, but surprised the stubble hasn't be ploughed in.
