Sunbeams

Turn about

Rain!  Proper rain today, a brief shower yesterday. The earth smelt fresh and the burnt out colour of the lawn changed to a darker "beige".  An almost autumnal tinge in the atmosphere as there was mist over the hill stretching in from Dorset and the sea and the temperature was over 10 degrees cooler.

The harvest and baling finished in time except one neighbouring farmer hasn't yet loaded his bales from the field.  T is worried that his tractor might make tracks in the earth but I think it needs a lot more rain to cause that as everywhere is still so dry - only the surface has been moistened.

The snail is enjoying the smooth coolness of glass as it glided into the ivy growing on the house.
