Fascination

There were words originally but my wifi went walkabout, so I couldn't upload them.

Will and I spent much of the afternoon at the Leicester Museum on New Walk. I hadn't realised just how many dinosaur and plesiosaur skeletons there were in the dinosaur gallery, found either in Rutland or the Isle of Wight.

The big skeleton is that of a Cetiosaurus, a member of the Brontosaurus family. It was a young animal because a fully grown adult would have been much larger. The rocks in which it was found include ironstones and shales. Perhaps it just fell in a river.

At any rate, you can tell from the photo that what really fascinated William was the computer animation that re-imagined what the animal would have looked like when alive.

We also went to see the Egyptian mummies. They were cool.
