Another Sligo backblip....!!

Hubby arrived down for the weekend on Friday night so this is what we did on Saturday....walked a good long way at Rosses Point...very warm again but a much stiffer sea breeze...beautiful beaches another great view of Benbulben..
And the Metal Man..who stands there in all weathers pointing the safe way into Harbor for all sea going vessels...
The huge metal bollard was used to tie up cargo ships that were too large to make it all the way into Sligo harbor...
The afternoon was spent walking through the old 13th century Abbey in Sligo town open because it’s National Heritage Week..very, very interesting...!
