A Canal's Life

After dropping off a pile of books at Fountainbridge library I walked back via the canal.  Maeve Redmond has another art work on the Union Canal, this one under the Viewforth Bridge , "A Canal's Past Coming to Life".  The canal's become a fantastic community facility over the last couple of decades.

Later I met a friend at the Filmhouse to see "Three Times Nothing (Trois Fois Rein)", a French film showing as part of the Film Festival.  We enjoyed this film which is about three homeless men who win the lottery and need to find a way to claim their prize.  It was good to see the Filmhouse so busy.  The film was sold out and the cafe was doing a good trade too.
