Whilst the car was in the garage having new shock absorbers fitted (due to the amount of pot holes and broken edges of the roads) I walked some of the footpaths and restricted byways. 
There was clap of thunder whilst I was walking and a few spots of rain, which was lovely to feel.  Later this afternoon after I had collected Luna we drove home through heavy rain with deep surface water,.   Needless to say we didn't get much at home, although it is raining at present, would be nice if it kept raining all night.   The fresh earthy smell coming through the patio door is most welcome.
