Siskin

This is a male Siskin. The female is not so brightly coloured. Often the case with birds, usually the opposite with humans!
According to a recent RSPB survey on common garden birds, siskins rank 32 in England and 19 in Scotland.
I think siskins are really attractive little birds. It would be interesting to see how many members of the general public could identify it from a photo as in Pointless. I suspect not many would recognise it.
