Dunnock

Our little part of the world missed the downpours again! Zero rain fell here yesterday, whilst other parts of Essex were left dealiing with flooding!! Madness!! So I'm still on plant watering duties, and it's another hot and humid day here again today with no rain on the horizon... boo hoo!

A quick trip to Canvey this morning as I'm looking for some new plant pots but they didn't have the ones I wanted! But we got to wander through the nature reserve after the recent wildfires - one of them is closed as it has been so badly damaged - and the smell of smoke was still strong.  This little Dunnock put a smile on my face though as he posed and sang for us.  And the blackberries we picked as we walked were rather tasty too! A bonus to walking this time of year although we weren't out for too long.
