No Flood

For the last week or so, the weathermen and -women promised us a lot of rain and cooler temperatures for today. They said, it was going to rain all night and day, a lot, possibly torrentially. They even warned of flooding, when all that water would fall on parched and brick-hard soil.

The blip shows you all the rain we actually got. It evaporated within seconds, and I had to be really quick in taking a picture of it. It didn’t cool down much, either.

So, the drought continues and it’s getting worse. The forecast for the rest of August: More sun and heat (up to 35 degrees next week).

This is the fifth extremely dry month in 2022. The forest is dying. Smaller rivers have already dried out completely. It’s getting really hard, having to watch all that.
