Making Gooseberry Chutney

Finally got the chutney made today.

….and a very unhappy Geordie in Extra.

He has been getting tired easily, and has been off his food and a bit tetchy with other dogs. I wasn’t sure what was going on with him, but thought it was maybe just the heat bothering him. It’s been going on long before the attack by the dog last week. Anyway, yesterday he was showing signs of having abdominal pain, so I immediately made a vet appointment.
Blood was taken and analysed and it turns out my poor boy has pancreatitis. It may be that he will need further blood work to find out more, but in the meantime he has to change to a low fat diet in the hope that will help him. No idea of the cause at this stage.
He was even grumpy sometimes with Rueben at the weekend, not at all like him.
I’m just hoping and praying that the change in diet will ease his pain and perk him up.
He still managed a couple of short walks, but he has to take it easy for a wee while.
