A Golden Moment

A golden moment during our beach walk this morning seeing the return of the sanderlings from their breeding grounds on the Scandinavian coastlines. 

Their plumage is much darker at this time of year and will lighten in colour over the next few months.

Also photographed a clump of sea rocket (see extras) which is in full bloom at the moment.  Lots of clumps lining the upper reaches of the beach adding a splash of colour to our walk.
