Surprise

I was surprised to see Crocosmia growing next to Himalayan Balsam right on the very edge of the river bank. The Balsam has been spreading freely for years as the seeds are washed down in the river, so maybe Crocosmia corms were washed away up stream an re-distributed, as they are a long way from local gardens. It is doubtful they could have been planted by hand either.
