Storms at Dymchurch

A morning of jobs, allotment, chemist, library, shop, admin, phone calls, all that sort of stuff.

We took ourselves off the Dymchurch after lunch for a six mile out and back along the beach and seawall to New Romney. We passed through some showery rain on the M20 which had moved on by the time we reached the beach.

We thought we were going to get drenched as clouds built inland. However, they seemed to stop as they passed over the sea so we remained dry.

At the end of the walk we stopped off at one of our favourite bars, Unit 1 at West Hythe which sells local Kent beers, ciders, wine and food. We sat in the warm late afternoon sunshine enjoying Hopfuzz brewery’s Goldsmith ale and a taste of Romney ale.
