Flower Friday

Was invited to a private viewing of the Colour Collective which was started by Brian Pollard to showcase younger talent alongside his own work! It was held in the Kaya Gallery on Southside Street in the Barbican and was from 17.30 - 20.30. I arrived at 17.45 and it was packed already. Apparently people had been queuing up to get in!

The drinks were at the back behind the shop provided by Brian to make sure it was decent wine, tha last exhibition had been in the William yard real ideas cafe and the drinks were cheap and not good! There was some delicious food that arrived later on provided by the gallery owner! Didn’t buy anything but enjoyed looking at the art work! The space where the drinks were had a couple of fuchsia bushes of which this was one with its very pale pink small flowers which the bees love! Walked back afterwards across the Hoe in the residual warmth of a partly sunny day!
